Cuidados de enfermería a pacientes con cáncer de cuello uterino IIB que reciben radioterapia en el Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplasicas – 2019
Resumen
El presente trabajo académico es el caso clínico de una paciente adulta de 58 años de edad
con diagnóstico de cáncer de cuello uterino IIB recibiendo radioterapia, se encuentra en la
unidad de radioterapia del instituto nacional de enfermedades neoplásicas. Este trabajo se realizó
con el objetivo de prevenir complicaciones por la radioterapia y favorecer la recuperación de la
paciente mediante un cuidado especializado y humanizado.
Para el desarrollo del presente caso clínico se aplicó el proceso de atención de enfermería, que es un
método científico y organizado, integrado por 5 etapas, dichas etapas son sucesivas y se relacionan entre
sí, su ejecución permite a la enfermera especialista brindar un cuidado holístico e integral al paciente que
recibe radioterapia.
Para los cuidados especializados brindados se aplicó el proceso de cuidados de enfermería
haciendo uso de la taxonomía NANDA (North American Nursing Diagnosis Association), y se
desarrolló tres capítulos: capítulo I Marco teórico; Capitulo II Aplicación de proceso de cuidados
de enfermería; Capitulo III Abarca las conclusiones y recomendaciones.
Se recomendó que la enfermera jefa del servicio de radioterapia gestione para que todas las
enfermeras proporcionen consejerías a pacientes nuevos sobre los cuidados y el manejo de las
complicaciones por radioterapia, aplicando el proceso de atención en enfermería en su labor
diaria. The present academic work is the clinical case of a 58-year-old adult patient with a diagnosis
of cervical cancer IIB receiving radiotherapy, she is in the radiotherapy unit of the National
Institute of Neoplastic Diseases. This work was carried out with the objective of preventing
radiotherapy complications and favoring the recovery of the patient through specialized and
humanized care.
For the development of this clinical case, the nursing care process was applied, which is a
scientific and organized method, composed of 5 stages, these stages are successive and related to
each other, their execution allows the specialist nurse to provide holistic care and integral to the
patient receiving radiotherapy.
For the specialized care provided, the nursing care process was applied using the NANDA
taxonomy (North American Nursing Diagnosis Association), and three chapters were developed:
Chapter I Theoretical framework; Chapter II Application of nursing care process; Chapter III
Covers the conclusions and recommendations.
It was recommended that the head nurse of the radiotherapy service manage so that all nurses
provide counseling to new patients about the care and management of complications due to
radiotherapy, applying the nursing care process in their daily work.
