Nivel socioeconómico asociado al edentulismo parcial en pacientes de la clínica estomatológica de la universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega

Abstract

El objetivo del estudio fue determinar el nivel socioeconómico asociado al Edentulismo parcial en pacientes de la Clínica Estomatológica de la Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega. El estudio fue descriptivo transversal y prospectivo. La muestra consistió en 100 pacientes adultos atendidos en la clínica Integral del adulto de la Universidad Garcilaso de la Vega, que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión.

The objective of the study was to determine the socioeconomic level associated with partial Edentulism in patients of the stomatological clinic of the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University. The study was cross-sectional and prospective descriptive. The sample consisted of 100 adult patients treated at the Integral Adult Clinic of the Garcilaso de la Vega University, who met the inclusion criteria. They were evaluated through a clinical examination to determine the type of edentulism under the Kennedy classification and associated with the socioeconomic level; for which an instrument validated by expert judgment was made, determining that the instrument was valid to use it.
