La presente investigación se realizó para determinar si el extracto etanólico de las hojas de Muehlenbeckia volcánica (Benth.) Endl. (mullaca) posee efecto antibacteriano en cepas de Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, in vitro a diferentes concentraciones: 25 %, 50 % y 100 %. Se comparó con el control positivo (Gentamicina 10ug). La investigación es experimental y el tipo de estudio básica y transversal. Las muestras fueron hojas frescas de Muehlenbeckia volcánica (Benth.) Endl. (mullaca) provenientes de la provincia de Yauyos, Lima The present investigation was carried out to determine if the ethanolic extract of the leaves of Muehlenbeckia volcanica (Benth.) Endl. (mullaca) has an antibacterial effect on strains of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, in vitro at different concentrations: 25%, 50% and 100%.
