Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimientos de las madres y las prácticas de estimulación temprana en niños menores de un año. El método utilizado fue descriptivo, el diseño de la investigación fue correlacional de corte transversal, tipo cuantitativo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 50 madres, para recoger los datos se utilizó un instrumento estructurado validado por juicios de expertos y por estadístico, la cual obtuvo una confiabilidad fuerte de 0,849 y 0,863, quienes dieron su aprobación para la aplicabilidad en la muestra de estudio. Los resultados arrojaron que el 34.00% de las madres presentan un nivel bueno de conocimientos de estimulación temprana, el 44.00% presentan un nivel regular y un 22.00% un nivel malo, también se evidencia que el 30.00% de las madres presentan un nivel bueno de prácticas sobre estimulación temprana, el 46.00% presentan un nivel regular y un 24.00% un nivel malo, en la cual se concluyó que la variable nivel de conocimientos de estimulación temprana tiene una relación estadísticamente significativa con la variable prácticas de estimulación temprana, según la correlación de Spearman de 0.537 representado este resultado como moderado con una significancia estadística de p=0.001 siendo menor que el 0.01. Se recomienda al personal de enfermería del Centro de Salud El Estrecho programar actividades de educación dirigidas especialmente a las madres sobre la importancia y beneficios de la estimulación temprana en sus hijos, y de esta manera promover a nivel de los hogares la práctica de ésta

The present research aimed to determine the level of knowledge of mothers and the practices of early stimulation in children under one year. The method was descriptive, the design was correlational cross-sectional, quantitative type. The study sample consisted of 50 mothers, to collect the data it had used an instrument that was structured and validated by expert judgments and by the statistician, which it were obtained a strong reliability of 0.849 and 0.863, who gave their approval for applicability in the study sample. The results showed that 34.00% of the mothers present a good level of knowledge about early stimulation, 44.00% present a regular level and 22.00% a bad level, in the case of knowledge, in the other hand, the sample shows in evidence that 30.00% of the mothers present a good level of early stimulation practices, 46.00% have a regular level and 24.00% a bad level, in which it was concluded that the variable level of knowledge is directly and positively related to the variable of early stimulation practices, according to the Spearman correlation of 0.537 represented this result as moderate with a statistical significance of p = 0.001 being less than 0.01. Nursing staff at the El Estrecho Health Center are encouraged to plan education activities specifically aimed at mothers on the importance and benefits of early stimulation in their children and in this way promote the practice of nursing at the household level
