La polifarmacia y su relación con la adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes ambulatorios con diabetes tipo 2 en el servicio de endocrinología del hospital Sergio Enrique Bernales

Abstract

El desarrollo de la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general “Determinar la relación entre la polifarmacia y la adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes ambulatorios con Diabetes tipo 2 en el Servicio de Endocrinología del Hospital Sergio Enrique Bernales.” Estudio de tipo observacional, descriptivo, transversal, prospectivo y correlacional. Se aplicó mediante la técnica de una ficha de observación (recolección de datos, encuesta) los indicadores fueron: Número de medicamentos recibidos, frecuencia de medicamentos, tiempo de diagnóstico, grupo terapéutico, medicamentos más utilizados, hora indicada, mejoría y deterioro, olvido y conocimiento de la adherencia al tratamiento. El instrumento para determinar la adherencia al tratamiento que aplicaron fue el test de Morisky –Green. La población de estudio fueron: Todos los pacientes ambulatorios (de 40 años a más) con diagnóstico de Diabetes tipo 2 atendidos en el Servicio de Endocrinología del Hospital Sergio Enrique Bernales, se seleccionó una muestra de 280 pacientes. Como resultado se pudo comprobar que existe correlación significativa entre “polifarmacia” y la “adherencia al tratamiento”. Los fármacos más frecuentes fueron: Captopril 10 mg con 54,6 % y Lovastatina 10 mg con 50 %. Los grupos terapéuticos más frecuentes fueron Antidiabéticos 98,6 %, Estatinas 92,9 %, Antihipertensivos 85 %. Se aprecia también que 52,5 % de pacientes diabéticos tiene una adherencia media al tratamiento. El análisis de los datos se realizó por medio del programa informático SPSS V21, Se utilizó la prueba de hipótesis sobre el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman

The general objective of the present investigation was to "Determine the relationship between polypharmacy and adherence to treatment in outpatients with Type 2 Diabetes in the Endocrinology Service of Sergio Enrique Bernales Hospital."
