Deserción de pacientes pediátricos con parálisis cerebral de 1 año a 8 años en el área de rehabilitación física en clínica San Juan de Dios Lima- 2016

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como finalidad de determinar los factores que influyen en la deserción del tratamiento de rehabilitación física de pacientes con parálisis cerebral de 1 año a 8 años en la Clínica San Juan de Dios Lima- 2016. Material y método: El estudio es de tipo cuantitativo, diseño descriptivo, Para la obtención de datos estadísticos se utilizó una encuesta constituida por 20 preguntas. Considerando una muestra no probabilística constituida por 80 padres y apoderados de los pacientes pediátricos que abandonaron el tratamiento. Resultados: El abandono de tratamiento se ubicó 59% por dificultad en el factor económico, 56% falta de conocimiento de la enfermedad, 46% lugar de origen, 48% estado de salud, 47% `por el tipo de familia. Conclusiones: Existe una alta incidencia de deserción de tratamiento relacionado con el factor económico, prevalece el nivel de conocimiento (secundario) pero recientemente conocen del diagnóstico. El lugar de residencia dificulto dirigirse a la Institución por la necesidad de usar transporte público, el estado físico dificulto su traslado, por el tipo de familia cuentan con apoyo de parientes

This present investigation has as purpose of determining the factors that influence the desertion of the physical rehabilitation treatment of patients with cerebral palsy from 1 year to 8 years in the Clinic San Juan de Dios – 2016. Material and Method: The study is of a quantitative type, descriptive design. For the obtaining of statistical data, a survey consisting of 20 questions was used. Considering a non-probabilistic sample consisting of 80 parents and proxies of pediatric patients who abandoned the treatment. Results: The abandonment of treatment was 59% due to difficulty in the economic factor, 56% lack of knowledge of the disease, 46% place of origin, 48% state of health, 47% by type of family. Conclusions: There is a high incidence of treatment withdrawal related to the economic factor, the level of knowledge (secondary) prevails, but recently they are aware of the diagnosis. The place of residence made difficult to go to the Institution due to the need to using public transportation, physical condition made transportation difficult, by the type of family, they have the support of relatives
