Tea is a plant widely consumed in our locality mainly in its form of drink or infusion. Plants have developed highly specific mechanisms to absorb, translocate and accumulate nutrients, however, some metals and non-essential metals for plants are absorbed, transferred and accumulated in the plant because they have an electrochemical behavior similar to the required nutrients. Therefore, we conducted a study that aims to compare the concentration of arsenic, manganese and lead in filter bags of green tea and black tea marketed in markets and supermarkets in Metropolitan Lima. It collected 10 different brands of tea marketed brands, which 06 samples are of green tea and 04 samples of black tea.The analytical method employed is atomic absorption spectrometry associated with graphite furnace and hydrides. The average concentrations found for arsenic are 0.013 mg / kg, manganese 0.48 mg / kg and lead 0.35 mg / kg. Therefore, it is concluded that all samples analyzed have varying concentrations of the metals under study. The values of the metals analyzed compared to the value allowed by the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) and the study conducted in Norway and Poland. It is found that 100% of the samples for arsenic do not exceed the value allowed by the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR = 0.60 mg / kg). For lead it was determined that 10% of the samples do not exceed the value allowed by the Common Market of the South (MERCOSUR = 0.60 mg / kg) and 70% of the samples for manganese do not exceed the value allowed by the study carried out in Norway And Poland (0.60 mg / kg).es_PE
