Prevalencia del Síndrome de Burnout en estudiantes de estomatología de una Universidad Privada

Abstract

El objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar el Nivel de prevalencia del Síndrome de Burnout en estudiantes de la Facultad de Estomatología de los Ciclos Académicos 4to, 8vo y 10mo de la Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, durante el ciclo académico 2017-II. El Diseño Metodológico fue descriptivo, el tipo de investigación fue Transversal y Prospectivo. Para poder cumplir con el objetivo general del estudio, se utilizó una muestra que estuvo conformada por 201 estudiantes, que cursaban el 4to, 8vo y 10mo ciclo académico en la citada Facultad de Estomatología, que fueron seleccionados en forma no aleatoria por conveniencia, que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Los Resultados mostraron que no hay signos clínicos del Síndrome de Burnout, en los estudiantes que fueron parte de la muestra; además, expresa que los alumnos presentan niveles altos de estrés. En la investigación se llega a la conclusión que no hay prevalencia del síndrome de Burnout en los alumnos que estudian en la Facultad de Estomatología

The objective of the present investigation was to determine the prevalence level of Burnout Syndrome in students of the Faculty of Stomatology of the 4th, 8th and 10th Academic Cycles of the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University during the academic year 2017-I. The Methodological Design was descriptive, the type of research was Transverse and Prospective. In order to be able to fulfill the general objective of the study, a sample that was composed by 201 students, who studied the 4th, 8th and 10th academic years in the mentioned Faculty of Stomatology, were used that were selected in simple stratified random form, that complied with The inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that there were no clinical signs of Burnout Syndrome in the students who were part of the sample; In addition, it expresses that the students do not present / display high levels of stress. In the investigation we conclude that there is no prevalence of Burnout syndrome in the students who study in the Faculty of Stomatology.
