Eficacia del método Cameriere para la estimación de la edad dental en población peruana

Abstract

El objetivo que se tuvo, al realizar el presente estudio, fue determinar la eficacia del método de Cameriere para la estimación de la edad dental en pacientes de 6 a 15 años que se atendieron en el Centro Radiológico “Diagnóstico por Imágenes” en el Periodo 2010- 2015. El Diseño metodológico fue descriptivo, el tipo de investigación fue observacional, retrospectiva y transversal. Para dar cumplimiento con el Objetivo General de la investigación, se hizo la ejecución del proyecto en una muestra de 500 radiografías panorámicas, de los pacientes que se atendieron en el mencionado Centro Radiológico. Los datos obtenidos fueron procesados por el investigador. El diseño estadístico para hacer el análisis de los datos, fue en el software SPSS versión 22.0, al terminar el procesamiento de los datos, después de la aplicación de la prueba de Wilcoxon se determinó que es de -7.991 y el P=0.000 para el sexo femenino y de -7.122 y P=0.000 para el sexo masculino; lo que indica que presenta diferencia estadísticamente significativa entre ambas edades y en ambos géneros (p<0.05), observando también que no existe diferencia significativa en las edades de 8 y 10 años. Se dio como conclusión que el método de Cameriere es eficaz tomándolo con precaución y en ciertas edades para la estimación de la edad dental.

The aim of this study was to determine the efficiency of Cameriere method, in estimating dental age from patients between 6 and 15 years old that were attended at the Centro Radiológico “Diagnóstico por Imágenes” in the Period 2010- 2015. The methodological design proposed was descriptive, the research was observational retrospective and cross-sectional. In order to acomplish the overall objective of this research, the implementation of the Project was performed from a five- hundred panoramic radiograph sample, from patients attended at the mentioned institute. The obtained data was processes by the investigator. The statistical design used to perform the data analysis was SPSS version 20.0 software, when finishing the performance of the data , after the Wilcoxon test it was determined that it is -7.991 and the P=0.000 for female And -7.122 and the P=0.000 for male; which represents a statistically and significantly difference between both ages (p<0.05) , noting also that there is no significant difference in the ages of 8 and 10 years .It came to the conclusion that Cameriere method is eficient, taking with caution and in certain ages to estimate dental age
